      Squier Vintage Modified 70s Stratocaster

      What Fender Have to say

The Vintage Modified '70s Stratocaster delivers the distinctive look of 1970s workhorse Fender guitar along with modern features that enhance playability and sound. Vintage-accurate appointments create an authentic look and familiar feel while the updated pickups and electronics help you unlock your personal sound.

      Construction

The Vintage Modified 70s Stratocaster is made up a Basswood body, a popular choice of tone wood for electric guitars due to it's solid and durable properties as well as is being lightweight making it more comfortable to play whether standing or seated. Bolted to the Basswood body is a maple neck and maple fingerboard native to fender stratocasters in the 1950s. The high gloss finish provides easy movement up and down the neck, paired with the popular C shaped neck profile which allows for a firm grip without being as chunky as to inhibit those with smaller hands. Topped off with a vintage 70s style oversized headstock which finishes the guitar off beautifully.

      Heardware/Electronics

The guitar comes fitted with a set of Duncan Designed SC-101 single coil pickups which stick true to vintage tones with a modestly medium output, they provide the iconic vintage strat bell like tone you would expect, but the capabilities of modern technology also allow the guitar to fit into most if not all genres and styles. The pickups are controlled form the on board master volume knob, two independent tone controls and a 5-way pickup selector switch, allowing you to tweak your tones at short notice and even mid-song if needs be.
