KRK's Rokit RP6 G3 (3rd Generation) monitors replace the G2 series studio monitors with a number of new advances. A new silk dome tweeter, new bi-amplifier, additional controls, new waveguide and cabinet design and more, make for accurate sound re-production and fantastic sonic performance.

Speaker Technology

The RP6 uses the legendary glass aramid woofer speaker cone combined with a brand new 1" silk dome tweeter which makes it can cover a frequency range of 38Hz - 35kHz. Tight, deep bass sound is no problem with the lightweight yet very rigid woofer design and the incredible frequency performance of the tweeter makes the sound easier on the ear with less fatigue.

Sound Controls

The rear panel of the RP6 G3 monitor has a small but essential range of controls. HF and LF controls allow users to boost or cut treble and bass frequencies to suit the speaker environment whilst a master volume gives overall amp control. There is also an array of input options on the rear including XLR, RCA unbalanced and balanced 1/4" TRS balanced inputs.

Bi-Amplified

RP6 G3 monitors come with a class A/B bi-amplifier set up which has a powerful 73 watt output. The HF (high frequencies) and LF (low frequencies) are powered via different amps with the the crossover frequency at a precise 2.3kHz so each speaker can work at its optimum.

Sleek looks for sound performance

The cabinet design of the Rokit G3 speakers is very sleek with ridged corners to give them a more sharp, aggressive look. This styling is also a sound enhancement feature. The shaped edges help reduce distortion from diffraction keeping the sound as clear and sharp as possible even at higher volumes. The underside of the speaker also has a rubber mat adhered to it to stop vibrations passing through to the contacting surface.
