The new Pa50 joins the Pa80 in Korg’s line of Professional Arranger
keyboards.
Designed for composition and live performance, the Pa50 features a 61-note
velocity-sensing, synth-action keyboard, a 62-voice TRITON-based HI synthesis
sound engine, over 660 high-quality factory programs (including GM level 2
programs), and over 300 musical styles (256 factory + 48 user). It also
includes a built-in 3.5” floppy drive, powerful Dual sequencer, four
real-time pads, and other live performance functions — all accessible via
a large, easy-to-read, custom LCD display. |

great-sounding system, the Korg PA50 Professional Arranger. Inheriting the
stunning sound from the award-winning Triton and containing a large variety of

developed for speedy operation and with the latest solid-state disk, and a
revolutionary new crossfading double sequencer (XDS), this new keyboard will
bring the benefits of Korgs revolutionary songwriting and music

STYLES The Korg PA50 keyboard boasts eight accompaniment
tracks, two more than on previous keyboards, and its really easy to play
Styles. Each Style can recall its own Performance, including the settings for
the accompaniment tracks and four settings for the real-time tracks. The Style
Sounds and Settings can be freely programmed and stored on the internal memory.

Performance Features
Each of the four pads on the front panel can be assigned to either a
percussion or effect sound. These pads can also be used to provide instant
access to a variety of PA50 functions such as muting the effects, selecting the
next Style, or even assigning Quarter Tones on the fly. Along with the
Joystick; the synchronized start/stop, fade in and out, tap tempo,
accompaniment reset and other front panel functions are available at your
fingertips.

BEAUTIFULLY DESIGNED Ease-of-use has driven the styling
with a logical control panel and linear structuring to give you fast access to
the most commonly used functions at the touch of a button. Selecting a Style,
Program, Performance or Single Touch Setting has never been easier. |
Great Sequencing
In addition to the traditional real-time and step-time sequencing available
on upper echelon workstations, the PA50 also features Korgs unique Backing
Sequencer, which can capture up to eight tracks of Style accompaniment and up
to eight tracks of real time playing in a single pass. This Backing Sequencer
data can be edited in powerful and musical ways, speeding the realization of
your musical ideas.

Where traditional workstations provide an empty palette to
start from, the PA50’s Backing Sequencer takes advantage of the
accompaniment system to provide you with as little or as much of a band as you
need. In performance, nothing beats the revolutionary XDS Dual Sequencer found
in the PA50. With fully independent transport controls for each sequencer and a
DJ style crossfader, the Pa50 can provide a seamless and satisfying
performance. Korgs unique “Jukebox” mode allows you to create
various “set lists” so the PA50 can perform a whole set with you
– nonstop! The PA50 is completely compatible with GM and SMF files. Lyrics
embedded in SMF sequences are shown in the Display.

| TONE GENERATION The sound generation itself is based on
Korgs acclaimed Triton HI system, making the Korg PA50 one of the first
entertainment keyboard to sound exactly like a professional synthesiser. All
the classical sounds, and particularly the solo instruments such as saxophone,
trumpet, flute, guitar and piano, have been improved. Theyve even added a
Drawbars sounds set to give a true simulation of the classic organ sound. You
can edit all Programs as you play using the Easy Program Edit functions and use
any of the four powerful Master Effect processors including reverbs, delays,
equalizers, exciters, overdrives, sound decimators and ring modulators. |
TheKorg PA50 includes four powerful Master Effect
processors, including all of Tritons studio-level Master Effects. You can use
them for a Song, or split them in two sections, to assign two of them to the
realtime tracks, and the remaining two to the Style tracks. |

PERFECTLY AMPLIFIED Korg have pushed
amplification to a new level with a fresh design that includes an Auto Loudness
feature, a two 15 Watt digital amplifier and 4 speakers to give a smoothness
and depth to the sound. |
