The Korg SP280 piano is an elegant, yet portable piano with new features perfect for any situation. Weighing under 42lbs the SP280 can be transported almost anywhere with ease yet will look fantastic in the front room of any house.

The SP280 piano uses Korgs latest NH (Natural Hammer) action which is gradually weighted from heavier in the lower register to lighter in the upper register for a real authentic piano playing experience. In turn the piano sound has been designed to be expressive and rich in sound, in particular, the "Grand Piano" sound reproduces the damper resonance that is heard when you press the damper pedal of an acoustic piano.

The Korg SP280 also has a range of high quality sounds to play with. 30 different voices from beautiful smooth strings through to jazz organ will cover any genre or style yet the instrument is so simple to use. The electric piano section has been specially crafted with sounds normally only found on higher end products.

Sounds can be layered and a new duet feature splits the piano into 2 section with the upper and lower octaves matching for anyone playing duets. 2 Headphone sockets have also been provided for teacher/ student or duet situations.

Korg SP280 Authentic vintage electric piano sounds, perfect for live performance

Special attention has been paid to the high-quality electric piano sounds, which are period-accurate and highly satisfying. The standard electric piano sounds reproduce not only the way in which the tone responds to your touch, but also the subtle noises that occur when you release a key. Six varieties are provided, covering the sounds widely used in the pop music of the 60s and 70s, as well as the tones valued in soul music.

    The Korg SP280

provides a playing feel thats incredibly close to that of an acoustic piano by switching between four piano samples according to the dynamics of your performance. From delicate pianissimo to dynamic fortissimo, the sound will respond realistically to how you play. In particular, the "Grand Piano" sound reproduces the damper resonance that is heard when you press the damper pedal of an acoustic piano, heightening your experience of the overall piano sound and making it even more enjoyable to play.

Established in 1983 A&C Hamilton Musical Instruments maintains a healthy balance of traditional business values with a keen sense for new business ideas. Getting new customers and keeping existing customers are equally important to us. As the internet has changed all our lives we continue to grow from strength to strength applying the tried and trusted methods of traditional retail sales to this new world of internet sales and store sales. The world is a smaller place but we are all still individuals within it. It is so much more fun selling to some one you can have a chat with, either email phone or in the shop than just sending boxes via couriers. Our company has a solid financial basis to trade and all premises are owned in full by the directors.

Our Music Shop is on the outskirts of Preston with forecourt parking for 8 cars. Our closest town is Blackpool and nearby is Lytham St Annes. Blackburn and Southport are close by.
