Unlike the Patriot Custom, the Patriot Black houses the amazing Rockfield Fat Ass humbuckers with speaker shattering tone, combined with coil tap so you can shred out hard edged lead guitar or get a nice rich mellow tone. Whatever your needs this guitar is definitely one for the collection.

A word about pickups

Michael Kelly decided to directly mount the Rockfield Fatt Ass pickups to the body for the ultimate in tonal response. These pickups are so named due to the large single pole pieces used to pickup the sound from each string. Being approx one and a half times as wide as a normal pole piece they have a great volume and depth of tone that responds to the most subtle guitar playing
