And all these tones can be used in split-keyboard or layered configurations for interesting performance possibilities like bass and piano, layered piano and strings, piano and scat duets, and more. A built-in amplified stereo sound system offers 20 watts of clean, robust sound with excellent separation-perfect for monitoring during live performance or for practicing and performing in lounges and on small stages. Streamlined Interface and Convenient Features

With a control panel as simple as it is elegant, the FP-9 offers a straightforward way for musicians at all levels to select and blend sounds. Choosing a sound is as simple as hitting its dedicated Tone Select button. A simple push of the Split button activates Split mode, which assigns different sounds to the upper and lower halves of the keyboard-perfect for creating interesting arrangements. Dual mode allows users to blend together two sounds simply by adjusting their respective Balance buttons.

There are eight types of reverb and chorus effects, and effect parameters can easily be adjusted and stored for each individual sound. Key Transpose, Octave Shift and Pitch Adjust functions allow for more flexible performances, while dedicated Line Out Volume and Speaker Volume knobs lessen the hassle of live performance setup. Finally, built-in MIDI control capability and a computer interface ensure that the FP-9 can be used in todays advanced MIDI setups.
