Blackstar Unity 30 Combo Bass Amplifier

The New Unity range of bass amps from Blackstar offer a a vast variety of tones, lightweight portability and simplistic design. The Unity 30 is no exception, with 30w of power pushed through a custom designed 8" speaker it can easily push over a drum kit for rehearsals and due to the line output and extension cabinet output the amp can easily be gigged at most venues. the Unity 30 also has foot-switchable overdrive and chorus meaning you can adjust your sound on the fly in a live situation.

Tonal Versatility

The Unity 30 offers a mass of tonal variety and is easily capable of a variety of styles. Starting with the basics you have 3 voice options to choose from, Classic, Modern and overdrive. This means before you have even started tweaking you have 3 amp sound options all neatly packed into a small combo unit. You have control of a 3-band EQ with variable mid frequency control, and master gain and master volume controls meaning you can dial in the settings to find your perfect tone. The Amplifier also has a -Db switch to allow you to use passive or active basses easily, Built in chorus switch and a built in compressor.

Recording and Live

The Unity range is fantastic for anyone wanting to play live or record. The amplifiers come with an XLR/TRS line output meaning you can push this fantastic sounding amp through a PA System in live situations or into an interface for silent recording. You also have a cabinet link meaning you can add an additional speaker if the 1x8" isn't quite enough. Also on the back panel of the amplifier is a line in for your MP3/Phone or computer, this allows you to jam along to your favourite songs or music and makes practice much easier. Finally you have a footswitch input which allows you to switch the amp's built in overdrive and chorus on and off with ease.
