Construction

Fender have stuck to the traditional Stratocaster design with the player series. Starting off you have an alder body, which is used for its fantastic tonal properties, character and being lightweight. Joined to the body in traditional fender fashion is a maple neck cut to a comfortable modern C profile which feels snug in your hand and provides plenty of grip across the length of the neck. Sat a top the neck is a Pau Ferro Fretboard, a close relative of Rosewood it looks and sounds extremely similar to what you are used to with a rosewood board. You have 22 medium jumbo frets spanned across a 25.5" scale length giving just enough tension with 9 or 10 gauge strings to allow for easy and precise playing.

Pickups & Electronics

Fender's new Player Series single-coil pickups have been re-designed from the ground up to provide players with the classic Fender Stratocaster tone whilst also adding a modern twist and edge to them. In the bridge position you can easily achieve that classic Fender glassy sound perfect for your bright punchy sound and with a higher output than the original strat pickups they are great for the bluesy broken up sound and even manage hard rock music, this paired with the neck position which is warm and crisp gives up ampul tones to work with. The SSS pickup configuration gives you plenty on control with a 5-position blade switch, 2 tone controls and a master volume.
