The S2 Custom 24 takes the original PRS guitar, the Custom 24, and re-imagines it with stripped-down features and a new aesthetic. Retaining the classic maple top/mahogany back combination, with our classic body shape and a new asymmetrical beveled top, this guitar is resonant with a funky familiarity. Its versatility comes from its custom-wound pickups and 3-way blade switch. Familiar for PRS players of old, and a fresh take for players of all types.

Construction

The S2 Custom 24 sticks to the traditional core range construction, consisting of a mahogany body topped off with a maple cap, a tried and tested combination of woods used by a mass variety of guitar manufacturers around the world due to its rigidity and tonal properties. Joined to the body is a mahogany neck cut to the very popular pattern regular profile, spanning a 25" scale length and consisting of 24 frets. the fretboard is made of rosewood and sports the iconic PRS bird inlay design which looks stunning! This model sports PRS's patented tremolo design and S2 locking tuners, the perfect combination for reliable tuning stability you can count on.

Tonal versatility

the S2 Custom 24 model comes fitted with the popular S 85/15 pickups, created from the gorund up to bring the sound of the core range 85/15's to a wider audience at an affordable price point. The pickups are extremely clear with a medium/high output, the react well to the volume control and clear up gain easily with slight adjustments. The pickups are controlled by a 3-position selector switch, master volume, master tone, and a push/pull coil tap. The coil tap allows for some fantastic single coil sounds and gives more tonal variety to this already extremely versatile guitar.
