Construction & Sound

The guitar consists of a Solid Spruce top with Rosewood back & sides but a strip of Quilted maple has been placed down the back of guitar to make it look absolutely fantastic. The neck is made of Mahogany and has a fat and wide shape which feels great in your hand and comfortable to move up and down the neck. With the addition of a solid top this guitar not only sounds great to start with but as the top ages it matures differently down to the conditions which it is kept allowing the tone to improve over time and become unique and personal

NEX Body Style

Takamines NEX body shape is basically the big jumbo shape they are known for but scaled down so that it is extremely comfortable even for the smaller player. In keeping with the jumbo it has a larger scaled back and and a venetian-style cutaway to give you access to the higher frets but still keeping that warm town which is generated from having a larger bottom end to the guitar.

Other premium features include maple body, neck and headstock binding; dark wood rosette and body purfling; synthetic bone nut and split bridge saddle; rosewood headcap; abalone dot inlays; gold die-cast tuners with black buttons; and a beautiful gloss finish. Available in Natural.
