Yamaha APX600 Electro-Acoustic Guitar Natural

Taking over from it's APX500 Predecessor the most popular Electro-Acoustic guitar and winner of numerous awards all over the world.

Construction

Sticking close to the APX's routes the 600's body consists of a spruce top with Nato Back & Sides. The APX ranges thinline body offers incredible comfort, top-fret access, and a sound perfect for on-stage use. Matched with specially designed non-scalloped X-type bracing maximises body resonance for full, natural tone. Compared to the APX500 the 600 now has a shortened scale length now only being 634mm (25") Rather than 650mm (25 9/16?) on the 500. This shortened scale length means there is less tension on the strings, which in turn means less effort to press the strings against the frets making the guitar slightly easier to play which benefits everyone.

Electronics

The APX600 comes fitted with Yamaha's fantastic System65 preamp system which benefits from a built in tuner allowing for tuning on the go whether you are between songs up on stage or out on the go. You also have a master volume control, 3 band EQ, and an adjustable Mid-Range frequency control, these allow you to tweak your sound easily in live situations without having to go back and forth between the amp. This pre-amp system is paired with a Piezo pickup like no other this pickup uses individual elements for each string to give an ultra-clear, ultra-wide bandwidth signal with far better dynamic response and tonal accuracy than a regular, piezo pickup.
