The Yamaha DBR12 speaker offers the perfect balance of sound quality, power and portability. Ensuring high-resolution sound at any output level, they are portable and yet have the power and versatility to cover most sized medium/ large venues and ideal for bands or solo artists. The main amp of the DBR12 is a powerful 1000w peak with Yamahas' high tech FIR-X tuning sound management system to make sure the resulting sound is the best possible. With the use of a 12" woofer and 1.4" HF horn the DBR12 delivers uncompromising sound when you need it most.

DBR12 2-Channel Mixer

On the rear of the DBR12 speaker is the amplifier/ mixer panel which is host to 2 independent input channels. Both channels offer a TRS combo connector for jack/XLR connection with a volume control on each channel. The second channel also has connection for RCA to plug in the likes of a minidisk player, ipod/MP3 player etc. As well as the 2 inputs there is a link thru connection for connecting additional speakers direct to each other as well as a 3 way preset EQ system for using the speaker in different situation. There is a boost option for boosting bass and treble for use as a main PA, a bass cut with treble boost for use as a monitor for clean audio on stage and a flat/off option. there is also the addition of a HPF (High Pass Filter) to allow for use with a subwoofer and to ease off low end bass frequencies that may cause an issue.

Digital Audio Processing On-Board : D-Contour

D-CONTOUR is an intelligent multi-band compressor that gives you powerful and consistent sound throughout all output levels. By constantly monitoring the output of multiple frequency bands and calculating the optimum EQ adjustments for each, even the maximum sound output maintains outstanding clarity and musicality. With the DBR12, D-CONTOUR provides a more detailed tuning of your sound with two different settings: FOH/ MAIN mode or MONITOR mode. FOH/MAIN mode boosts low-frequency to compensate for low-end that is typically missing when speakers are used in suspended applications or mounted on a speaker stand.

Smart Cabinet Design

Yamaha have designed the cabinet of the DBR12 not only to be rugged, but it is designed with a special angular face so it can be used on the floor at an angle as the ideal monitor speaker. there is even a switch on the rear to optimise the speaker for use as a monitor, making the sound even cleaner so the artist can hear the sound more accurately and to reduce bass booming on the stage.
