Yamaha RS20MM Revstar Matteo Mancuso Signature Electric Guitar Inc Gigbag

From early in his career, Matteo Mancuso has always chosen to play Revstar. With the RS20MM, players can experience the same aesthetic and playing feel as his custom Revstar in a production signature model developed in collaboration with him. A Vintage Sunburst flame‑maple top and all‑gold hardware define its visual identity. Matteo’s signature on the truss‑rod cover and a logo inlay at the 12th fret clearly mark it as his model. Yamaha’s chambered body construction and carbon‑reinforced neck, crafted using our exclusive Acoustic Design process, enhance resonance while reducing weight. For tone, the RS20MM features DiMarzio® PAF® 36th Anniversary pickups, voiced for long sustain and highly expressive pick response. A 5-position pickup selector and a passive push/pull Focus Switch provide uncommon versatility from a two-pickup guitar.

Matteo Mancuso

The RS20MM is a production signature model developed in collaboration with Matteo Mancuso. "I choose Revstar because it's rare to find a solid body that has so much flexibility for jazz and rock. I can achieve every sound I need thanks to the chambered body and the 5-way selector switch, plus it's super comfortable to play" It recreates the aesthetic and playing feel of his custom Revstar, translating his approach into a guitar designed for clarity, control, and balance. Every specification is selected to support precision and consistency across a wide range of playing styles.

Tone

The RS20MM is equipped with DiMarzio PAF 36th Anniversary pickups, redesigned based on vintage PAF specifications. Their softer magnetic pull allows the strings to vibrate more freely, producing long sustain and a highly expressive pick response. This dynamic clarity is complemented by locking tuners, ensuring stable tuning and reliable performance in demanding playing situations.

Chambered Body & Acoustic Design

Using Yamaha’s exclusive Acoustic Design process, the RS20MM’s chambered body enhances tone while reducing weight, while a carbon-reinforced neck adds strength and stability. The result is a guitar that’s perfectly balanced, resonant, and built for the stage.

Fantastic Tonal Choice

The push/pull tone control functions as a FOCUS SWITCH, activating a passive boost that emulates overwound pickups—darker highs, enhanced mids and lows for more aggressive tone. In addition, the 5-WAY SWITCHING system introduces a subtle phase shift in positions 2 and 4 by slightly delaying the opposite pickup, offering a fresh take on classic "in-between" sounds.

Stunning Finish

The RS20MM captures the refined visual character of Matteo Mancuso’s custom Revstar. A Vintage Sunburst flame‑maple top is paired with all‑gold hardware for a distinctive, elegant look. Matteo’s signature on the truss‑rod cover and a logo inlay at the 12th fret confirm its identity as his official signature model.
