Yamaha Stagepas 1K MKII Portable PA System Overview

The newly designed Stagepas 1K MKII powered speaker system has 125db SPL of sound output combined with a 12" subwoofer, 10 individual tweeters and enhanced mixing facilities with the new Stagepas App. There are 3 spacer bars allowing you to set the height of the tweeters depending on the venue and it also also comes complete with a padded cover for transportation. With a combination of inputs and bluetooth audio and control capabilities, this powerful and portable powered speaker system is ideal for bands and solo artists.

Yamaha Stagepas 1K MKI vs Stagepas 1K MKII

The new MKII model offers a number of enhanced features compared to the original MKI version. The new enhancements includes:

• Much better spread of amplifier power - The original MKI has 810w LF / 190w HF whilst the MKII version offers 500w LF/ 600w HF. This means better power at the top end with enhanced spread and clarity of sound
• Stagepas 1K MKII has a new App with added capabilities. It is possible to control the EQ, volumes and a new 4 band parametric EQ along with the "Priority Ducker" feature. The Ducker and PEQ are not found on the original MKI model

Stagepas Control App - More Control, More Features

The Yamaha STAGEPAS Controller is a dedicated remote control application for the Stagepas 1K MKII that allows users to adjust volume and 1-knob EQ or 4-band PEQ via Bluetooth. You can also save the adjusted settings for faster future setups. It is even possible control the volume of multiple STAGEPAS 1K mkII units from within the application.

One new feature is the ability to be able to have 4 band parametric EQ control on each channel as opposed to just the standard single knob EQ control.

Class D Amplifier With Better Power Spread

Part of the upgrade of the MKII is the spread of 100 watts of power between the 10x J-array Tweeter system and the 12" subwoofer. In the Stagepas MKII we have a 500w subwoofer and 600w tweeter power. This change of power makes for a better sound and better output power/ spread. The quality of this unit is spectacular and of course can be combined with another Stagepas 1K MKII or the great DXL1K for true stereo sound.

Expandable Speaker System

There are many options available for extending the speaker capabilities of the Stagepas 1K MKII. It can be expanded as a true stereo system or split mono system with either another Stagepas 1K MKII unit or the DXL1K unit. When going mono it is also possible to chain more than 2 speakers together, or use the inputs of a second speaker to add more channels to your overall system. With so many variations available it will cover the needs of almost any venue.

J-Curve Slim Line Speaker Array

The high-frequency speaker array is comprised of 10 x 1.5-inch small diameter speakers. By adopting a J-curve array configuration, the high-frequency unit achieves coverage of 170 degree horizontal and 30 degree vertical. With such a long, 10-driver array design the Stagepas 1K MKII can deliver clear, high quality sound consistently over longer distances from the front to the rear of the audience.
