The Yamaha YDP146B digital piano is the Ideal instrument for students and beginners. SmartPianist App - Have Fun Learning

The YDP-146 piano is compatible with the free SmartPianist app. The app allows you to access and control the pianos features easily on a compatible smart device such as tablet or phone.  You can easily change effects or sounds, but you can also access the huge section of built in songs combined with sheet music for learning and developing your playing whilst also having fun with it. It's a truly superb learning experience combined with the YDP-146 feel and sound. Furthermore, the app will connect to the piano using the built-in Bluetooth feature found on all Yamaha YDP-164 models

Incredible CFX Concert Grand with VRM Modelling

The CFX is Yamaha's world renowned concert grand piano which has been sampled and used in the Arius YDP146 piano and others in the range. This has been combined with VRM technology - Virtual Resonance Modeling Lite (VRM Lite), which intricately simulates the complex resonance of a grand piano’s strings. The keys and pedals can be used in combination to achieve a wide range of sounds.

There is also a selection of 9 other voices to choose from in the piano, from electric piano sounds to strings, allowing your creativity to flow with different styles and combinations.

88 Piano Weighted Keys

Yamaha's popular GHS (graded Hammer Standard) keyboard comes with matt black key tops for extra finger grip. The gradually weighted touch of the YDP-146 will offer a confident playing experience and great dynamics while feeling just like a real piano.

Enhanced Speakers With New Diffuser

The YDP-146 has the speakers mounted underside of the piano cabinet as many pianos do. Yamaha have however added a new diffuser system which helps change the way the soul is projected for the player and for anyone listening. The new diffuser grille ensures treble notes are clearer even from a distance, creating a well-balanced sound across all registers and creating a pleasant sound field for both the player and the audience.
