Learn With SmartPianist

SmartPianist is a free app which can connect direct with the Yamaha YDP-146 piano wirelessly using Bluetooth technology. The app opens up access to a wealth of features such as control of the pano, such as sound selection, recording features and much more, all using the screen of the smart device. What is really impressive is the educational features. There is sheet music for 353 different tunes in the app with enhanced educational features for learning to play. Its these features that in combination make the YDP146 will allow the player to really bring their playing to life.

Incredible CFX Concert Grand with VRM Modelling

The CFX is Yamaha's world renowned concert grand piano which has been sampled and used in the Arius YDP146 piano and others in the range. This has been combined with VRM technology - Virtual Resonance Modeling Lite (VRM Lite), which intricately simulates the complex resonance of a grand piano’s strings. The keys and pedals can be used in combination to achieve a wide range of sounds.

There is also a selection of 9 other voices to choose from in the piano, from electric piano sounds to strings, allowing your creativity to flow with different styles and combinations.

The YDP-146 has the speakers mounted underside of the piano cabinet as many pianos do.
