Introducing the latest Santana Signature Model

The SE Santana Singlecut Trem pays tribute to Santana's one-off gold leaf Private Stock PRS. Modelled after the workhorse gold leaf guitar that Carlos plays on stage, the SE version of this special instrument began when Santana heard the 2018 Pauls Guitar TCI pickups. Impressed with their tone, Santana requested a set of those pickups without the coil taps, and from there, TCI 'S' pickups were born. Wanting to capture their full-range tone in a special model, Santana and Paul looked to Santana's personal instruments and choose the gold leaf Single-cut.

Construction

Starting off with the body you have the ever popular single-cut body shape made up of high quality mahogany which is known for producing warm and resonant tones, with the cutaway being smooth and carved out it allows you to reach for the higher frets comfortably and with ease. Joined to the body you have a smooth mahogany neck cut to a comfortable wide fat profile which is chunky and gives you ampul of grip from first to last fret. As with all of Santanas PRS guitars you have a 24.5" scale length with 24 frets across a rosewood board, which is a tried and tested combination used by Santana for years.

Electronics & Pickups

The one thing which has drastically changed from all the previous models is the brand new TCI 'S' Pickups, these pickups based off of the TCI pickups in Paul's guitar produce a vintage low output sound which is not only iconic but resonant and plugged with modern versatility. You have control over these pickups from the single Volume and Tone controls situated close enough to the bridge to be easy enough to reach whilst playing, you also have a 3-position toggle switch to easily switch which pickup you are using.
