Workstation Power

Roland have combined years of technological development and customer requests to create a workstation capable of handling the most demanding song creators. The Fantom G8 sequencer offers an almighty array of 128 MIDI tracks and 24 audio tracks, as much if not more than most computers can handle! A USB mouse input on the rear offers a unique way to manipulate recorded song data. With a simple click and drag, recorded section can be moved around the screen and access to features is only a click away.

The G8 does not strip away live capabilities in order to achieve its high spec recording capabilities. A special live mode allows the user to access 8 simultaneous sounds all layered or split across the keyboard in a very easy to view and understand layout. The Roland Fantom is one of the first products on the market to allow sound changes without sound glitches whilst playing live. In live mode the G8 can continue to hold the notes of the sound you are playing, change patch and play the next sound settings without any audio glitch whatsoever. It is the perfect feature for live players and fast changes.

ARX Expansion

Fantom G8 provides ARX slots that accommodate two SuperNATURAL expansion boards. SuperNATURAL is Roland's unique behaviour-modelling technology that enables a new level of organic, emotional expression previously unattainable in synthesizers. Applied to traditional-instrument sounds, SuperNATURAL enables the delicate, organic tonal changes and playing nuances of real musical instruments. It's also a powerful tool for electronic and non-traditional sounds, breathing amazing new life and expression into synthesis.
