Construction

The Yamaha AC3R is crafted using the highest quality tone woods and hardware to provide you with a high quality guitar perfect for a variety of playing styles and genres. Starting off with the body you have a stunning Solid Sitka Spruce Top with A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement). Yamaha's A.R.E. Process treats the woods molecular properties to allow the wood to be acoustically ideal giving you the tonal characteristics of a vintage instrument straight out of the box. To the underside of the Solid top you have Yamaha's newly designed bracing which is louder and stronger in the low-mid ranges giving you plenty of volume from a smaller body size. Paired with the top you have solid Rosewood back & sides which provide a well balanced tone from low to high compared to mahogany which is more mid focused. Joined to the body you have a 3-ply African Mahogany neck which feels smooth and comfortable and feature a straighter neck taper for easier high-fret playing, and hand-rolled fingerboard edges to achieve a played-in feel.

SRT-2 Electronics

Yamahas latest version of the SRT system has been designed for the gigging musician, it provides you with 2 sound options the Neumann KM56 Small Diaphragm Condenser Microphone and a Royer R122 Active Ribbon Microphone. The Neumann ca provide anything from a sharp sound to cut through a large mix to warm room filling sounds great for solo's and duo's. The Royer provides a more natural and vintage microphone tone usually kept for the studio but sounds great in live situations. These two variations can be blended together to create a mass of tonal options and variations whatever your tonal needs may be. Controls wise you have a Master Volume, Treble Control, Bass Control (push for AFR, Auto Feedback Reduction), and a Blend control (Push for MIC variations).
