Construction
The new PRS SE Starla is made up of a mahogany body cut to the distinctive Starla body shape, being a thin single cutaway design. joined to the body is a mahogany neck cut to the wide fat profile, paired with a rosewood fretboard sporting 22 frets over a 25" scale length. The neck feels comfortable in your hands and has a vintage chunky feel to it. Featuring PRS's distinctive bird inlay design, a Grover 2-piece stop tail bridge, and PRS-designed tuners it is reliable stable and stays in tune when you need it to.
Sounds & Tones
The PRS SE Starla model stands out from the rest of the models in the SE range due to its distinctive DS-02 Treble and bass pickups. Specifically designed for this guitar the pickups boast a bright high-end bark which is able to cut through any band mix with ease whilst cranking up the gain provides you with with a crisp and clear driven tone with warm harmonic overtones. You have control over these pickups with a master volume, master tone, 3-way selector switch and a push/pull toggle to allow you to split the coils to easily achieve single coil sounds.
