Improving upon the smaller Kawai K15 with a larger cabinet and carbon fibre action, the Kawai K2 has a warm, rich tone, exquisite looks and a superior feel above any other piano at this level. The Millenium III Action features components made of ABS-Carbon, a new composite material. The lighter design makes the Millenium III Action tremendously fast and effortless for the player. The repetition and responsiveness is superb.

The K-2 upright piano offers a level of tonal quality and performance to rival many grand pianos. Most Kawai Grand Pianos now feature the Millennium III Action. This Action has been well accepted, as you can see from Kawais success in many of the International Piano Competitions throughout the world.

In 1971 Kawai revolutionised piano technology by introducing ABS parts within the fine workings of the piano action. This rigid, atmospherically stable compound marerial addressed many of the problems associated ith wooden components, such as breakages under continual high stress and shrinking and swelling due to changes in climate. The Millennium III upright action utilises stronger ABS carbon parts, allowing Kawai scientists to further optimise key repetition and response speed.
